Community BBQ Fundraiser, hosted by Hungry Bear Market on Hwy. 20, pig barbecue, garage sale, and garden plant sale. Items go on sale at 9 a. m. Food served at 11 a. m. Proceeds go to the Island Park Community Fund, local Fraternal Order of Police, and the Fremont County Sheriff Reserves. Visit the Sheriff’s Reserve booth and bid on silent auction items.

Island Park MammySlammy Event, hosted by the All Women’s Rally 4 A Reason Committee. Two days of focus on women’s health with a lunch party at Lakeside Lodge at 12:30 p. m. Thursday, June 11 followed by free and reduced price mammograms at the Portneuf MammoBus at Island Park Medical Clinic.
Mammogram appointments MUST be made in April by calling Holly at the Island Park Medical Clinic on Monday April 3, 13, 20, or 27 - 558.7766.
Mammograms will be scheduled on Thursday from 2 - 6 p. m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. - 2 p. m. Insurance and Medicaid accepted. Ask Holly at the clinic about free or reduced price options funded by the Rally 4 A Reason for those with no insurance or ability to pay. Lunch includes speakers, free goodies, door prizes.

• “Don’t Fence Me In,” a presentation on the meaning and impacts of fences from an environmental history perspective by Boise State University history professor, Lisa Brady, will highlight the Island Park Historical Society’s annual meeting and dinner, 5 p. m. at Pond’s Lodge.
