Admission to park is free if entering for picnic. More than 200 silent auction items, fly tying demos. Money raised funds projects to protect and enhance the Henry’s Lake fishery. Faculty Concert, 7:30 p.m. at Harriman State Park, presented by the Mountains & Strings faculty and staff. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy music at its finest. This year world-class violinist, Eric Grossman, will give a solo performance as well as join other faculty and staff members for some beautiful chamber music. Held on the lawn behind the Jones House, in the park’s historic Railroad Ranch District. Park in the Ranchview Parking Area and walk down the path. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and mosquito spray. Although the concerts are free, donations are accepted and appreciated. The park’s entry fee, to those who do not have an annual pass, is $4 per vehicle.

Folk Fiddle Fun Concert, 7:30 p.m. at Harriman State Park, presented by the Mountains & Strings faculty and staff. Violin, viola, cello, and bass players take turns dazzling the audience with fast-paced fiddle tunes and other folk melodies. This is also where you'll hear the famous Mountains & Strings Cello Choir led by Brian Ashton. Held on the lawn behind the Jones House, in the park’s historic Railroad Ranch District. Park in the Ranchview Parking Area and walk down the path. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, and mosquito spray. Although the concerts are free, donations are accepted and appreciated. Chamber Orchestra Concert, 7:30 p. m. at Harriman State Park. This concert marks the end of the first session of the Mountains & Strings Chamber Music Retreat. All participants come together to form a chamber orchestra to share their improved skills and talents with the audience. 4th annual Red Hat Mountain Mommas Canoe Trip down the Big Springs National Water Trail. Meet at Henry’s Fork Landing at 10:30 a.m.; group will then travel to the launch site by 11 a.m. Shuttles will be arranged. Wear your Red Hat Society purple and red colors. Lunch follows at the Landing for canoers and anyone deployed to help shuttle. Please contact Geneva Irwin if you have space in your canoe, raft, or other non motorized watercraft.
