   Island Park Lodge Wine Tasting Party to benefit the Island Park Area Chamber of Commerce, 3 p. m. Wine selections from Snake River Valley and Golden Eagle, refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

Wednesday, September 16
   Targhee Women’s Club Birthday Party at 11:30 a.m. at the Lodgepole Grill at Phillips Lodge. Everyone is welcome to celebrate another year of TWC at this last regular lunch of the season. Call Jerrie Bosier the Sunday before the luncheon to reserve your seat — 558-7662. Lunch is $10, includes tip.

Friday, September 18 & Saturday, September 19
   The annual Community Clothing Exchange, hosted by the LDS Church. Island Park and Ashton residents will get together on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. - noon for a clothing exchange. Bring a bag of stuff you no longer want and come home with a bag of amazing new finds, all without spending a dime. Bring only good,used and clean items - children's, men's and women’s clothing, accessories, etc.
   You can also bring items from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 17 to the LDS Ward Building off S. Big Springs Loop Road - to the Scout Room.
   Volunteers are highly appreciated if they would like to donate a couple hours. call Darla Cutler 558-7817. This is a community effort and everyone is welcome. All leftover donations will be divided between community charities and then to the Ashton Flea Market and Rexburg Deseret Industries.

   The Ashton Community Food Pantry will distribute food at the Ashton Community Center from 5 - 7 p.m. Please bring identification and a current power bill. Donations of food can be left at Dave's Market and at the library; monetary donations may be left at the city office. Pasta and rice continue to be needed at the Pantry.

   The annual Haunts of Harriman Halloween party in Harriman State Park’s historic Railroad Ranch district, 6:30 - 9 p.m. Hay rides, trick-or-treating, Haunted House, and carnival. This year’s theme is the “The Wild, Wild West” and admission will be dried or canned food for local food banks.    Island Park Christmas Festival, sponsored by the Island Park Historical Society at the Mack's Inn Theater, S. Big Springs Loop Road.
   Craft Fair & Food Sale. 2 to 8 p. m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Baked goods, soup, chili, hot dogs, all kinds of neat art and crafts. Great holiday shopping! Soup & chili also available for take out.
   Live entertainment, 6 p. m. Friday.
   Santa Claus visits at 7 p. m. Friday.
   Festive holiday luncheon and auction, noon Saturday. Up for auction: 10 decorated artificial Christmas trees, 10 wreathes, 10 gift baskets, and 10 holiday decorations (centerpieces, fireplace enhancements, outdoor decorations, etc.). Proceeds from auction go to local charities. Donate an auction item, designate the local charity of your choice to receive the proceeds.
   Saturday lunch reservations are required. Call IPHS secretary, Kari Dalton, to reserve lunch, to sign up to donate auction items, and to reserve a craft booth. 558.0900 or 681.9837. Call early to ensure that you can be part of this awesome festival!
