Red Rock Road closure announced

ISLAND PARK — The Ashton/Island Park Ranger District will replace a culvert on Red Rock Road the week of September 14 through September 18.
The culvert replacement will take place approximately 2.2 miles southwest of the intersection of Henry’s Lake Road and Red Rock Road. Red Rock Road will be closed and impassable during this time.
District Ranger, Adrienne Keller, in cooperation with Fremont County Road and Bridge, is asking the public to be aware that the road will be closed to ensure public safety. Please make any necessary travel changes.
Keller adds, “The work will be done as quickly as possible recognizing this road is an access route to areas people like to hunt.” Signs will be posted along Henrys Lake Road and along Red Rock Road cautioning drivers of the closed road.
For additional information, contact the Ashton/Island Park Ranger District at 208.652.7442 or 208.558.7301 or Lee Mabey at 208.557.5784.
